SIOR Annual Golf Tournament Raises $20,000 for Sharefest
SIOR, The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, Greater Los Angeles Chapter has been an amazing supporter of Sharefest for many years. As the leading professional commercial and industrial real estate association, their members are some of the brightest and most successful agents in the area. But SIOR is much more than a professional association.
They believe deeply in giving back to their communities and are committed to many organizations like Sharefest throughout the Los Angeles area. President of SIOR Los Angeles Chapter, Jon Reno, shared, “Giving back to our community is an essential value for our chapter and its members. We appreciate the ways Sharefest digs in and helps youth find pathways to success. We are honored to be able to continue our partnership and help them achieve their mission.”
The 50th Annual Golf Classic was hosted by SIOR on July 19, 2021, at Virginia Golf Course. With over 72 golfers, it was an exciting day that culminated in an awards ceremony for the tournament winners and a presentation of a $20,000 check to Sharefest! “Having organizations like SIOR believe in the work we do gives me and our team the motivation to continue to pour time and resources into youth who have fallen through the cracks,” shared Chad Mayer, Executive Director of Sharefest. “The SIOR Golf Classic is always a fun and meaningful event. I am so grateful SIOR has selected Sharefest as the tournament benefactor year after year.”
With the funds raised by SIOR’s Annual Golf Classic, Sharefest will be able to continue to expand their programming that provides under-resourced and disconnected Continuation High School students with essential mentoring, trauma-informed mental health services, and classes that accelerate earning credits they desperately need to graduate high school. Sharefest will also follow those students into community college or the workforce to give continued mentoring and support as they work to mobilize themselves and achieve success.
