DEDICATED PEOPLE WILLING TO PITCH IN
"Thank you to everyone who did such a magnificent job with the ShareFest efforts at South High School. I can't believe we have so many helpful, dedicated people willing pitch in! The graffiti Friday was unfortunate, but the timing made it possible to get so much more cleaned than we would have been able to on a different weekend. I am so thankful we had such a willing group.""
SCOTT MCDOWELL, PRINCIPAL, SOUTH HIGH
Workday is powered by two main groups - project sponsors and volunteers. We need groups and organizations to adopt a project and volunteers to put their boots on the ground and do the work.
DO THE WORK
Come out once a year for a day of service. All you need to do is show up ready to work! After a day of painting, cleaning or planting you’ll see the visual change you helped create and experience a deep sense of fulfillment.
On Workday, change happens in just a few hours across Los Angeles in hundreds of locations. Join us every year as we continue to create visible change in our community.
SHAREFEST PROJECTS ARE...
ADDRESSING REAL NEEDS
You see graffiti, trashed parks and neglected schools all around Los Angeles. You want to do something to help, but you don't know how to get involved. Maybe you have time to give but want to ensure your hours make a difference. Perhaps you want to financially support projects that improve the city. Or maybe you are just looking for a way to change your perspective on the neglected neighborhoods in the greater L.A. area.
Fifteen years ago, Sharefest saw an opportunity to connect resources to real needs and launched Workday. Since it’s launch, Workday has completed 3,100 projects with the help of 56,000 volunteers. Community leaders submit project requests and businesses and organizations like yours adopt projects or provide volunteers to make change happen.
The projects completed on Workday create ripples throughout the community. Thanks to the service of those like you Sharefest has cultivated relationships with civic and school leaders. One day of service has opened the doors to lasting change in our communities.

How much longer can you ignore the problems you see everyday?
How much longer will you be ok with doing nothing?
How much more civic decline will go unaddressed in L.A. neighborhoods?
At Sharefest we create intersections of people and organizations who are looking for ways to solve the problems we see everyday. Workday has continued to grow as the community recognizes that Sharefest provides solutions that work.
Isn’t it time to step in and make change?
