A day of service in San Pedro with Rich Development Enterprises
For continuation high school students, a learning environment full of life and color can make all the difference.
That’s exactly what students at Angels Gate High in San Pedro will have next semester, thanks to Rich Development Enterprises in partnership with Sharefest.
On a cool, gray morning in the Palos Verdes peninsula, volunteers from Rich Development gathered for a beautification project, which included a large lighthouse-themed mural, fresh flowers and native plants in the raised garden beds, and general cleanup of the grounds.
By the time the clouds cleared that afternoon, the school was looking much brighter.
It wasn’t the first time that Sharefest helped organize a service day at Angels Gate, but it was particularly meaningful for Principal Paul Valanis, who is retiring from his position after 14 years at the school and more than three decades as an educator.
A Family Tradition
The Rich family has been dedicated to serving the San Pedro community since launching their business in 1985.
As loyal supporters of Sharefest’s mission to help continuation high school students gain economic mobility and realize their potential, they’ve worked with us on numerous service days at schools around San Pedro, and are regular donors to our mentorship and workforce development programs.
That community spirit was on full display as their team worked together painting the Angels Gate mural and planting in the gardens, quick to offer a smile and a helping hand. It’s a testament to the company’s ethos of honesty, cultivating personal relationships, and positively impacting the communities in which they build.
We’re grateful for Rich Development’s ongoing support, and look forward to making the future brighter together.
THANK YOU TO OUR CAREER CONNECTIONS PARTNERS
